What Is The Difference Between Comprehensive And Third Party Only Cover?

You will have heard of comprehensive cover, third-party only, and even third-party fire and theft. But do you know the difference between them?

What is third party only cover?

Third-party cover is the lowest level of vehicle insurance we sell. It covers damage to another person’s vehicle if you cause an accident, such as crashing into them.

What is third-party fire and theft coverage?

This provides the same level of coverage as third-party-only coverage but with the added benefit of covering the vehicle for theft and even fire.

What is comprehensive cover?

Comprehensive covers damage to your car after an accident and to other vehicles. This is the highest level of cover we offer without having to buy legal protection or cover to pay for hire vehicles.

Top tip: third-party-only coverage is not always the cheapest option. Always get a price for comprehensive cover, too!
