Why us for Courier Insurance?
At Insurance Revolution, we specialise in finding insurance quotes and policies for Courier, Haulier and Delivery drivers. We understand the industry you are in and the type of use you require on your policy. We offer very competitive courier insurance quotes as well as providing the very best service to our customers.
Why is insurance for Couriers more expensive?
Insurance with hire and reward use is generally more expensive than other types of insurance, mainly due to the increase mileage the vehicles do. With a higher mileage you are exposed to more potential accidents and dangers. Here at Insurance Revolution we do a comprehensive search of the market and find you a competitive price for Courier Insurance to assist in bringing your premium back down to affordable levels.
Do you just insure owner drivers?
No, we work with larger courier companies from UK-wide couriers like Hermes, Yodel, Amazon, DX, City Sprint and TNT to local independent courier firms who have owner drivers working for them. If you operate a fleet of vehicles that need insuring we can help. We work with a wide range of insurers offering single and multi-vehicle insurance products. They offer various levels of cover for vans and cars as well as drivers with varying experience of the courier industry.
In fact, we also run an affiliate scheme which could be of benefit to these businesses. If you are interested in becoming an affiliate of Insurance Revolution click here for more information.
Courier Insurance UK
We can provide insurance for UK based couriers but are also able to provide CMR insurance for those driving across Europe. It is worth taking into consideration that courier insurance cost can increase if you drive internationally as this is considered to be a higher risk than driving in the UK and it is more costly for insurers to assist you whilst in a different country than it is in the UK.
Are you members of any associations?
We are members of the National Courier & Despatch Association which is the UK’s leading professional body for the courier industry in the UK. We already work with a number of their members, providing insurances for their drivers and their businesses. If you are also a member, be sure to mention to our sales staff on the phone.
Can I buy courier van insurance from you?
Yes, we provide courier insurance for vans as well as cars.
At this moment in time, the only courier vehicles we cannot provide cover for are motorcycles. We regret that we are unable to provide cover for these but hope to look into it in the future.
Will the size of my van effect the type of insurance I can take?
Yes, if your van is over 3.5 tonnes, we will have to give you a quote for a haulage insurance policy. Don’t worry though, we also have great rates for hauliers too and will be happy to help.
Can I buy breakdown cover?
Breakdown cover for couriers is often hard to find. Luckily we have negotiated rates with a leading supplier of courier breakdown products and are able to offer them to our clients. If this is of interest to you, please ask one of our advisors for more information on the products available to you.
Can I use my personal no claims bonus to reduce my courier insurance cost?
With Insurance Revolution, you can use your personal no claims bonus to provide you with a discount on your courier insurance. Most brokers are unable to do this but we spoke to the insurers and explained that this is something our clients are often looking for.
How will my personal no claims effect my courier insurance price?
As mentioned above, we are able to provide you with a discount for personal no claims from different vehicles. We have created a guide below from our experience of working in the insurance industry. It must be noted that these discounts do not apply to all insurers, do not take other factors into consideration and only act as a guide however, are representative and based on courier insurance policies placed by Insurance Revolution between August 2014 and August 2015.

Working as a courier can be a rewarding and lucrative career, especially in the age of internet shopping. In fact, many people choose to work part-time as a courier to supplement their day job. If you do, you still need goods-in-transit insurance cover so speak to a specialist who can help give you the best advice and ensure you are not driving illegally.
Failing to acquire the correct insurance could result in a fine, points or even a driving ban in some circumstances which would have knock-on effects to your life, especially if you drive for a living.
