What is the legal minimum age a courier can be?

Insurance Revolution Blog , courier insurance , FAQs

There is no legal age limit for couriers. Strictly speaking, if you have passed your driving test, you can become a courier at any age.

However, most insurers and underwriters will not insure anyone under the age of 25 for courier use. This is because young people and those who drive for a living are both perceived by insurers to be a high risk, so the combination is not a favourable one to most insurers.

However, Insurance Revolution is different, as we specialise in finding insurance for people who generally find it more difficult. As such, we have worked hard to build a relationship with an underwriter who will insurer couriers who are as young as 23, which means we are one of very few brokers in the country who can insure people under 25.
