What Is The Legal Minimum Age A Courier Can Be?

There is no legal age limit for couriers, as long as you’re old enough to hold a full UK driving license. This means that you have the flexibility to become a courier at any age over 17, so once you’ve passed your driving test, the sky is the limit. It’s a career path that’s open to everyone and can be very rewarding, especially if you value flexibility.

Most insurers and underwriters will only insure people over 25 for courier use, which can make finding courier vehicle insurance a challenge for younger drivers. This is because young people and those who drive for a living are both perceived by insurers as high risks, which can dissuade some courier insurance providers.

However, Insurance Revolution is different as we specialise in finding insurance for people who generally find it more difficult. As such, we have worked hard to build relationships with underwriters who will provide insurance for courier van drivers as young as 23 years old, which means we are one of the very few brokers in the country who can insure courier drivers in their early twenties.

If you’d like to learn more, please visit our Courier Insurance page for more information. Our team will help you compare courier insurance options so you can find a courier driver insurance policy that is bespoke for your needs, so you can drive with complete peace of mind and have one less thing to worry about.
